163-mile Big Stone South to Ellendale Transmission Line energized

Big Stone City, South Dakota, March 21, 2019: On February 5 crews from co-owners Otter Tail Power Company and Montana-Dakota Utilities, Co., energized the 163-mile, 345-kV Big Stone South-Ellendale (BSSE) Transmission Line after eight years of planning and three years of construction.

SD PUC Issue Final Decision and Order

On August 22, 2014, the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (SD PUC) issued a Final Decision and Order; Notice of Entry for the BSSE project.

SD PUC Approves Route

On August 13, 2014, the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (SD PUC) approved the Facility Permit Application for the development of the Big Stone South to Ellendale transmission line in South Dakota pending final written order which we expect later in August.

ND PSC Approves Route

On July 10, 2014, the North Dakota Public Service Commission issued a Findings of Facts, Conclusions of Law and Order for the Big Stone South to Ellendale Transmission Line.
